American violinist Daniel Rafimayeri was born and raised in New York City and is a graduate of The Juilliard School. Recent solo engagements include performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, and the Kennedy Center, as well as new-music projects at the French Consulate in New York City and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Daniel is the Gold Medalist of the Stulberg International String Competition, where he also received the Bach Prize. He is also a laureate of the Washington International Strings Competition, where he won the Overall Audience Prize, a recipient of the Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant, and a scholarship recipient of NPR’s From the Top.

At Juilliard, Daniel studied with Catherine Cho, Li Lin, and Ronald Copes. He is currently pursuing further studies under Tai Murray at the Yale School of Music.
